Whether they don't feel comfortable asking, they forget to ask, or they just don't have a process to request reviews from customers, business owners often struggle with building up their reviews across different platforms.

When asked to write a review before leaving your business, most customers are happy to do so, but just simply forget by the time they get home.  We typically find that the majority of happy customers don't take the time to write a raving review, while the customers who were not happy with their experience are quick to jump online and let everyone know about it.  

Over the years, we often work with businesses where random people they've never done business with have left negative reviews. We can speculate the reasons for the spammy reviews, but the bottom line is that they're almost impossible to get removed.  Google does have an option to report a review if the business can prove it's fake, but it typically takes weeks to months for anything to be done, and by that point the negative review has done its damage.
